Sweet Heart Winery Releases the 2026 Valentine’s Wine - Supporting Heart Institute at Childrens Hospital

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

From Loveland—Where Hearts Are Central to Everything—A Valentine’s Tradition That Turns Love Into Action During Heart Month

Loveland, Colorado — Each year, as Valentine’s Day approaches, wine lovers across the country eagerly anticipate the release of Sweet Heart Winery’s Valentine’s Wine—a limited, highly celebrated bottling that has become synonymous with romance, connection, and heartfelt celebration.

Released during American Heart Month, the 2026 Valentine’s Wine, a 2023 Barbera from the Amador County AVA, carries even deeper meaning. Crafted and bottled in Loveland, Colorado—the Sweetheart City, where hearts are woven into the community’s identity, this release reflects a place where love, generosity, and connection are central to everything.

Sometimes referred to as “Everly’s Wine,” this year’s Valentine’s Wine not only delivers an award-winning experience, but also serves as a powerful way to raise awareness and support for congenital heart disease. A very generous portion of every bottle sold will benefit the Children’s Hospital Colorado Heart Institute, helping fund life-saving cardiac care for children and families.

The Inspiration Behind the Campaign

This year’s Valentine’s Wine campaign is inspired by Everly Snowden, a little girl whose joy, resilience, and light touched countless lives.

Everly passed away in July 2024 at just 3½ years old due to complications from severe congenital heart disease (HLHS). Despite her short time on earth, Everly’s legacy continues to inspire action, generosity, and love. Her story deeply moved the Sweet Heart Winery family and became the catalyst for transforming this annual Valentine’s tradition into something even more meaningful.

Sometimes referred to as “Everly’s Wine,” the 2026 Valentine’s Wine honors her life by helping other children and families facing life-threatening heart conditions—turning love into action with every bottle sold during Heart Month.

“At Sweet Heart, our mission is to create experiences for people to connect, and that mission becomes even more powerful when we come together to support a cause bigger than ourselves,” said Charles Oster, CEO of Sweet Heart Brands. “Heart disease affects nearly every American family, and as a winery based in Loveland, Colorado—the Sweetheart City—where hearts are central to everything, we feel a deep responsibility to give back and raise awareness during Heart Month.”

A Valentine’s Day Wine People Look Forward To

Sweet Heart Winery’s Valentine’s Wine has become a nationally anticipated annual release, with fans marking their calendars year after year. Releasing this wine during Heart Month, from a city defined by hearts, adds even greater purpose—inviting wine lovers to celebrate Valentine’s Day while supporting a cause that impacts families everywhere.

Valentine’s Day is more than a moment. It becomes a movement.

The Vineyard & the Journey

Sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards in Amador County, this Barbera grows in the rugged foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains at 1,750 feet elevation. Reaching the vineyard requires navigating steep terrain and winding mountain roads—an intentional journey that mirrors the patience, respect, and commitment required to produce truly exceptional fruit.

That challenge is part of what defines this wine.

Philosophy & Partnership

Sweet Heart Winery is exceptionally proud of its model: seeking out extraordinary fruit and, in select cases, exceptional wines, then partnering with world-class winemakers to bring them home and make them their own.

Once selected, the wine is transported to Loveland, Colorado, where it is fully vinted, perfected, and bottled. While the fruit is selected in California, the final expression—the balance, polish, and soul of the wine—is shaped right here in the Sweetheart City. This union of world-class sourcing and local craftsmanship sits at the heart of Sweet Heart Winery’s national recognition.

The Craft

  • Hand-harvested and hand-sorted fruit

  • Manual punch-downs for gentle extraction

  • Gentle bladder pressing

  • Aged in French oak to add warmth, texture, and subtle spice

The result is a beautifully balanced Barbera that feels expressive, refined, and intentional.

The Wine

Bright, elegant, and intentionally fruit-forward, the 2026 Valentine’s Wine opens with vibrant tart black cherry, layered with vanilla and soft baking spice from French oak aging. Light-to-medium in body, it showcases Barbera’s signature lively acidity with balanced tannins and a long, clean finish—ideal for lingering conversations and shared moments.

Why This Is the Perfect Valentine’s Wine

  • Tart cherry acidity pairs effortlessly with chocolate

  • Bright freshness invites connection, not heaviness

  • Versatile enough to move from savory dishes to sweet indulgences

A wine designed to bring people closer, glass by glass.
